Sunday Morning Worship

Our Anniversary service was led by Revd Tony Miles, the service included some special music by the Youth Band playing theirown composition. It must have been good as the congregation sang it too! More excellent music then from the Choir who gave us a fine rendering of their current anthem.

The Sunday Club address by Revd Tony Miles and his puppet ‘Darren ‘was enthusiastically received followed by a main thought provoking sermon “God is in the Communication business”, presented in Tony’s own intriguing style.

Revd Tony’s latest book ” MAYBE TODAY ” is available at the The Book Stall along with an earlier book ” Like a Child “.

Yellow and orange balloons decorated the church as Sunday Club brought singing, dancing and drama to make their celebration servicea truly joyous occasion. A re-enactment of the story of the great feast was a focal point of the service and other items included  the Youth Band performing their new song which was written by Amanda Quelch the keyboard player the congregation again joined in a second time.

After service the children and their families enjoyed a picnic at Grange Paddocks

Cafe Church

Sunday July 18th

The latest Cafe Church was held this time at Stansted Free Church.    Some fifty people enjoyed coffee and biscuits on arrival as they settled down in informa;l groups at the tables.   The friendly chat and general participation in the singing and discussions about faith and personal reactions as we face tricky situations in our daily lives, created a pleasant and very worthwhile evening.   The evening was led by Revd Stuart Veitch and Worship leaders, music by the Stansted Church Band.    The Cafe Church events are now part of the church calendar.

Our Next Cafe Church will be on:-

Sunday 5th September at Chrishall, led by Revd David Keeble
